(Bridgeport, CT) – Wholesome Wave is proud to announce that our co-founder and CEO Michel Nischan will be honored tonight at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as its acclaimed Seafood Watch program’s Chef of the Year. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is honoring Michel for his commitment to sustainability, which began in the early 80’s as an early “locavore” chef, has grown through his renowned Westport, CT Dressing Room restaurant created with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, and manifest into a national nonprofit organization dedicated to making our food system more vibrant and equitable for all.
On Friday, Nell Newman, Co-Founder and President, Product Development and Public Relations at Newman’s Own Organics and the Chair of Wholesome Wave’s Board of Directors will join Michel and Rick Bayless, renowned chef, TV personality and founder of the Frontera Farmer Foundation, in a candid conversation about the passion and core values that drive their influential careers.
